Planning Board Member (Effective 1/1/2009):  purpose is to review subdivision and site plan review applications.  They consider the arrangement, layout & design of the proposed use of land and set standards upon which proposals for the immediate and long range enhancement, growth and development of the town are based.  (Meetings are the 1st Thursday of the month.) 

Board of Assessment Review Member: Each member is appointed by the Providence Town Board for a 5-year term and must attend a special training session conducted by the Saratoga County Real Property Tax Director.  The members of the Board are responsible to review all complaints on real property filed before the fourth Tuesday of May and, based on the evidence presented, decide if an adjustment to the property assessment is justified. When two members of the Board recommend a change to the assessment of a parcel of property, the Assessor's staff amends the assessment roll.  The Board also notifies the person who files the complaint of its decision, and if the property owner is dissatisfied with the decision, they may file a small claims action with the court within thirty days of the final assessment roll (usually July 1st).  Must be available the 4th Tuesday of May between the hours of 4pm and 8pm.

Cleaner (Effective 1/1/2009):  To carry out cleaning duties in the public and general areas of the Town Hall and Town Garage, to empty regularly all garbage, and to ensure that consumable materials and replenished regularly.  Must be available during the Town Clerk's regular work schedule for cleaning of Town Hall.  Effective 1/1/2009
